Have you ever wondered why our Galaxy is known as Milky Way? Googling ? Well, don’t worry, Googol is here for your rescue. You can thank me later 😀

The Greeks called Milky Way “Galaxias Kyklos” which is derived from the word milk. There is a legend that Zeus wanted his mortal son ‘Heracles’ to possess some Godlike qualities.

So, he took his son to his wife Hera for breastfeeding, who was asleep then. When Hera woke up she pushed Heracles away (as he was born out of Zeus’s affair), thus spilling some of the milk into the night sky.
